Bookslam 2016 National Winners!
Wed 22 Jun 2016Nine pupils from Years 5 and 6 took part in the National Bookslam 2016 competition in Brecon on Tuesday 21st June. They had to read 'Top Dog' and be able to discuss the text with a judge and then present a performance related to another book they had read called 'Isabella Wella and the Kenfig Pirates'.
Much to the delight of everyone, particularly Mrs Morse and Mrs Harmsworth who prepared the girls for the competition, the team were awarded overall winners of the Bookslam. They brought back a lovely shield and won £150 worth of books for the school.
